An mp3 version of the 4-minute recording of an apartment parking lot in a small neighborhood with a busy nearby roadway - from a different perspective. Cars can be heard driving by, along with a faint humming with from some machinery and a small amount of wind. There is also some faint talking, laughing and coughs from a group in one of the apartment buildings, which can add to the effect. There are two instances when cars drive into the parking lot (about at 3:20 and 3:40), and shortly afterward a person walks by the mic. Recorded with the microphone of a nikon coolpix camera.

This is the new talking traffic signal in town. I got the idea to speed it up from listening to some radio commercials where the person talks a mile a minute to cram as many words into the commercial as possible. They really are damned annoying when they do it, but i get a laugh out of my version. Recorded on my yamaha pocketrak with one track duplication and edited in sony vegas. Please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).

Made from taking two large atx (the form factor, the chassis) computer panels (that i havent used in quite some time), rubbing the entirety of them together quite brashly (one is on the ground), keeping the recorder on xy setup in my other hand in unison then dropping them onto each other. Inside of reaper, i begin changing the rate and pitching them down and applied saturation, distortion and reverberation gave them a very clean effect of a decrepit gate shutting down. Good for trapping your enemies in a battle to the death for which the title is inspired from; one of those tension moments a person in a film/game finds themselves in.

So these are all real reactions to certain things i do, i. E, video games, narrations, etc. Funny story. . . The reason this one is from far away is because while recording a narration, a lovely spider decided to descend from the ceiling, and i flipped out, having decently bad arachnophobia. It also got near my hamster's cage, so naturally i bellowed "die!" when killing it. I'm uh. . . Very passionate about certain things. I myself need genuinely real vocal reactions. This is the latest homework i have done, for this one i imagined this:its as if you were hearing from the ears of the person in the cashier spot, at a busy restaurant, this person gets caught in a time wrap and they start to like trip on these sounds from the kitchen, the stage across the bar, and even them turning a page on their boring magazine. If you read this and haven't played it yet, close your eyes and imagine you're that person and tell me what you feel!. At this point i have learned about effects and all that(still no pro), so be sure to listen with earphones for the best experience!sounds i used:. Sb 9. 16. 24 — thus jamadagni, being worshiped by lord paraśurāma, was brought back to life with full remembrance, and he became one of the seven sages in the group of seven stars. Sb 9. 16. 25 — my dear king parīkṣit, in the next manvantara the lotus-eyed personality of godhead lord paraśurāma, the son of jamadagni, will be a great propounder of vedic knowledge. In other words, he will be one of the seven sages. Sb 9. 16. 26 — lord paraśurāma still lives as an intelligent brāhmaṇa in the mountainous country known as mahendra. Completely satisfied, having given up all the weapons of a kṣatriya, he is always worshiped, adored and offered prayers for his exalted character and activities by such celestial beings as the siddhas, cāraṇas and gandharvas. Sb 9. 16. 27 — in this way the supreme soul, the supreme personality of godhead, the lord and the supreme controller, descended as an incarnation in the bhṛgu dynasty and released the universe from the burden of undesirable kings by killing them many times. Sb 9. 16. 28 — viśvāmitra, the son of mahārāja gādhi, was as powerful as the flames of fire. From the position of a kṣatriya, he achieved the position of a powerful brāhmaṇa by undergoing penances and austerities.

Two mourning doves: one close, one far distant, in a mating call and response. Pretty clean, spring pre-air conditioner pollution season background with light birdsong way back. Recorded @ 8khz with a griffin italk mic to a recently refurbished 20gb 3rd generation ipod - my favorite lo-fi field recording / interview rig. If you have a recording device on your person, you get a lot of stuff you'd otherwise miss altogether. This rig helps me get those things too ephemeral to capture with a stereo pair; sounds i would regret not having at all. I keep it on my belt 90% of the time. Just in case.

This is a recording of purchasing items at a checkout in a supermarket, including ambient sounds. There is one line of the slovak language spoken by the cashier, but there is plenty of space to remove it or add your own voices to the clip. This was recorded in-person with a tascam dr-40 stereo recorder. Public domain: i have released this audio file into the public domain. It is free for anyone to download, modify, or use without my consent and without attribution - like all freesound audio files should be. Enjoy!.

A car engine startup recording with lom (slovakian microphone manufacturers) omnidirectional microphone ("ucho"). If by chance i gain access to stereo diaphragm mikes of good quality, the re-take of this will be of higher quality. I intended to use this for gta sound modding and for general car ignition noises. For anyone curious, this is a second-hand honda accord (2006) saloon's engine revving, the person revving this vehicle is one of my friends starting it up who i asked kindly if i could record it.

Pajarito it's the name of the song. What you hear are jacanas, the small traditional guitars used by jarocho's musicians, and one requinto guitar (and some kids laughing). Playing jaranas: elías meléndez, who i personally dubbed as "the muddy waters of son jarocho" -he passed away on 2017-; arturo barradas, leader of soneros del tesechoacan, a famous jarocho music band, and his son, young elías barradas. Playing the requinto guitar is adrián luna, who for many years was a member of the grammy awardees group los cojolites. Adrián luna's voice is on one song (el conejo) included in the soundtrack of the two oscars winner and internationally recognized movie frida (2002). Recorded with zoom, in 2013, in tuxtepec, oaxaca, during a jam session. Rip elías meléndez.

Blok modular set to bang on random keys/throw random parameters in various places. Sort of a kind of fm synthesis but i'm pretty sure blok can do a lot of extra things like place filters/waveshapers after the modulator but before the main oscillator. Don't want to give away much else but you can improv random textures by drawing in a waveshaper window/right-click to drag the drawing from one side to another. Also you can use the atan button to scale the notes on some sort of curve by distorting the note values. I could've added delay/reverb/eq/ ambience but i wanted it to be as dry as possible because that's personally what i look for, raw sounds that you can choose to change if you like. No edits aside from normalizing the. Wav file.

Sounds like you are in a futuristic city terminal. This is of course meant to represent only one of many sounds - it is not complete without other futuristic sounds (if you want to make a futuristic city terminal atmosphere!). This sound reminds me of an old third-person shooter game which was released/published back in the days (year 2000!) -- messiah!. This sound can for example be used in sci-fi games, for example when the player is walking in a huge futuristic city terminal, or is interacting with an ai - you name it!. If you enjoyed the sound, please rate, comment, spread! it really helps!. Note: make sure to check out the other matrixxx-sounds! the sound quality is always better when you download the sound(s)! ⛄. Enjoy!/matrixxx.

I won't claim that this is a ghost as i am sure many would debunk, only that i believe it to be. This is an evp i found during playback for something else i recorded in audacity with a usb condenser mic. This happens a lot and i have quite a few. It sounds to me like a voice that is not mine is saying "watch" i cleaned it up as much as i could but this was barely audible originally so i had to bring up the volume a lot which made the noise floor pretty loud. I did some noise reduction to make it sound cleaner. I have personally had experiences that i believe to be supernatural but decide for yourself as you listen or use it as make believe. I have more i will upload when i can including ones from places that have been researched and said to be haunted (taken on my phone). I have to find them but as i come across them or new ones i will share. No need to credit me, i am just sharing this for fun. It creeps me out, and gives me chills so hopefully it does the same for you mwuah hahahahaha! enjoy ;). On March 11, 2018, the Marine Band presented a Living History program titled Marine Corps Women’s Reserve Band Tribute. The program told the story of the talented and adventurous women who served our country in a most unique and unprecedented manner. Author of the book Bands of Sisters: U.S. Women’s Military Bands During World War II, Dr. Jill Sullivan served as a guide through the personal accounts of those very women who blazed a trail for many to follow. The Marine Corps Women’s Reserve Band of Camp Lejeune was established under the watch of 'The President’s Own' to support bond drives and was active during World War II from 1943–45. In 1944, the ensemble even sat in for one of the Marine Band’s popular 'Dream Hour' broadcasts, a program that will be reenacted in its entirety as part of this concert. The performance took place in Schlesinger Concert Hall at Northern Virginia Community College in Alexandria, Va. Conducted by Capt. Michelle A. Rakers.

This is a submission for sarah belle reid's collaboration prompt for her forthcoming electroacoustic opera. It comprises a dry recording of a male voice reading the following original text describing a moment from a dream:. "this is a story about dreams. It is not about a specific dream, or rather while it takes place in one dream it is about many. From time to time in my dreams i am in a city. Not a particular city, like paris or chicago, but the events of the dream happen in a setting which includes tall buildings and crowded streets and views of the sun setting behind a busy skyline. One time, while having such a dream, i was standing on an arcing bridge over a body of water like a river or canal. The late afternoon sun was to my left, and the warmth of the sunlight contrasted with the cool breeze off the water. As i looked across the curving expanse of water, i was mesmerized by the bright reflections of the sun on the water, on the glass of the windows, across this expansive space. I realized with a start that i recognized a cluster of buildings across the way. I had seen them before, in another dream. In that dream i had been a different person. Rather, in most all of my dreams i am in some way myself, but entangled in a moment from some other life, surrounded by characters and pursuing concerns that are alien to my waking being. In that moment, in this dream, i came to understand that all my dreams that happen in a city are happening in the same city, the same geography and architecture holding dozens of episodic lives i may have between sleeping and waking. ".

As of this recording, i am the official town troubadour of manchester, ct, usa. I am just putting the finishing touches on an album collecting the various songs i have written for the town in this role. One of the songs mentions the church bells that ring out every day in at the top of the hill in town, so i thought it would be nice to open that song with a field recording of the bells. Every day at noon, center congregational church in manchester, ct, usa plays a full 10 minutes of music. This is a recording of the full 10 minutes as played on december 4th, 2022 - recorded with a zoom h1n, fades added in audacity. It was quite windy and despite my wind sock, there is the occasional audible gust. I was set away from direct traffic sound, but there is ambient traffic sound. There was also a church maintenance truck that slowly drove past me midway through the recording (probably curious at the strange person with the tripod recorder and headphones). I have not attempted to identify the songs in this recording. But if you recognize any, please let me know!.

88 piano keys, long natural reverb: up to 13 seconds per note. This is me giving back. I love freesound. You guys saved my bacon back in the day. Recently i searched for free piano notes for a game i'm making, but the only ones i could find ended too quickly. I need long reverb! luckily i have an old piano, so i made my own. So this is me giving back. This is an old piano!!!. We had the piano tuned a year ago, but it is well over 60 years old, so be warned! these notes have character! if you want perfect tone, either edit them individually, generate something artificially, or buy a professional set. But if you want a piano with personality, this is for you. Being an old piano, it only has 85 keys. So i created the highest 3 notes by speeding up previous notes, to make the modern standard 88 keys. How the notes were created. The notes are created on an old (well over 50 years) steinhoff upright piano. It only has 85 keys, so i faked the highest 3 keys by taking previous keys and changing their pitch. I opened the top, balanced my trusty everesta bm-800 condenser microphone across the top near the high note end, and held down the "loud" pedal. Each note was then hit and kept pressed down until i could no longer hear any reverb. Notes were saved as mp3 using my laptop, using free sound recorder on the highest quality settings. Yeah, i know it isn't flac, but i am strictly amateur with budget to match, and that was the best i could do. After that, all editing was of course uncomopressed until the final save. How the notes were edited. Editing was kept to a minimum, mainly to enhance the reverberation. All editing took place on audacity on linux mint. First i cropped any silence from the start. Next, used the envelope function to gradually increae volume to 200% over a couple of seconds. That is, the quietest part of the reverb is twice as loud as you might expect. Because for my game i sometimes need a single piano key to last ten seconds. Next i maximised the volume. If there was just a single stray waveform that stuck out then i reduced that by 2db or so then maximised again. Because like i said, i want to hear that reverb! i then found the part where background noise starts to be noticeable, and faded out over 1 second or so. This meant that the lowest notes had as much as 13 seconds of reverb, whereas the highest notes might only have 2 or so. Finally i checked the result, and edited three or four notes that i felt were just too ugly (badly tuned, or for some reason the software suddenly got hissy when the note became too quiet. Weird. ) i also slightly changed the pitch of a couple of notes that were slightly out of tune but otherwise ok. No doubt a better ear than mine could teak all of the notes. But as i said, it's an old piano and we're keeping it real. Finally, files were compressed to ogg at the highest quality setting, using soundkonverter. Why not flac?. I live in the countryside with very slow broadband, so i apologise for including more of the original files. But as it was, uploading this zip file took about an hour. Enjoy. Legal. Use this for anything you want, commercial or not, credit me or not. Consider it public domain. My main concern is that i had completely legal sound for my game, with nice long reverb and character. Uploading it here provides proof that i created it first, just in case anybody comes back and says "those are mine" (it happens).
